David Harvey gave a presentation in which he pointed out the need to integrate urban struggles, to think beyond the specificities of housing, shopping malls, gentrification, and that many of these demands should be approached as anti-capitalist and can be unified. It is vital to discuss alternatives, to have a vision. Capitalism is in trouble and the bourgeoisie cures the crises with band-aids, they do not have a vision. There is then an advantage for the left which is the alternative vision: what kind of alternative cities we want to build and on this basis, what kind of world we want to build.
